...of meeting a Nerdfighter who lives in the same town as you? Especially when your town isn't that big?
This is kinda weird. I'm freaking out.
We met in the Nerdfighter IRC chat, link here: dft.ba/-Chatnow2.
You should go. You never know, you could meet someone from your hometown.
Did I ever tell you how much I like hide and seek?
No? Oh. I really really really really like hide and seek.
OH NOES I HAS SCHOOL TOMORROW. AND A PROJECT DUE ON THE 6TH.
I should probably get started on that...
DFTBA!

Missing
I don't know if that's a good enough title, but here's a poem I wrote today.
The golden brown batter
Drizzles into the pan
Sizzling.
I wait
Four minutes
To flip.
The chocolate is melty.
It burns
Sticking to the pan.
Scrape! goes the spatula
Against the hot cast iron.
Breakfast lands on my plate.
I open the drawer
To grab a fork.
I prepare to eat.
I cut off a small piece
Stab it with my fork
Put it in my mouth.
I chew slowly
Savoring the chocolate
Rolling it around in my mouth.
But wait!
Something's missing
Something essential!
I spit it out.
It landed on the floor
With a plop.
I search the house
Frantically
Desperately.
Where is it?
It's gone!
I need it!
I look under the bed
Dust flies in the air.
Not here.
I open the shower curtain
Search inside the tub.
Not there.
I take the books from their shelves
Look in each one.
Not anywhere!
I collapse on my couch
Giving up.
My appetite was gone.
I stood up.
Wearily
Getting some milk.
I trudge to the kitchen
Shuffle, shuffle, shuffle.
The fridge opens with a pop.
I grab the carton
Pull it out
Scraping the plastic shelf.
But behind it!
I see
The wonderful plastic container.
The milk is forgotten
In my delight.
Finally, I can eat!
Click!
The lid flips open.
Sweet sugary goodness in a thin coat.
I attack my food
Break the plate.
Breakfast is soon over.
I lick the plate.
Every last crumb
Is gone.

So, it's been a while since I've written a post, as I've been EXTREMELY busy. And yes, of course, by busy, I mean I've been procrastinating.
Also, I think you may be pleased to know that Ashlyn may or may not be a nerdfighter now. Just putting that out there.
Mostly on the nerdfighteria.net chat. (To go straight to the room, go here. http://dft.ba/-Chatnow2)
Anyways, I got The Fault in Our Stars and it has a red J-scribble. And then I went to Costco a few days later and found 3 more of John's books. I freaked out, and now I have 4 of them. I only need Katherines and Let It Snow, and my John-Green-book-collection will be complete! MUAHAHAHAHA!
That was necessary.
No, really, it was!
Oh, never mind.
Goodbye, and pleasepleasepleasePLEASE get in your pants.
Also, I think you may be pleased to know that Ashlyn may or may not be a nerdfighter now. Just putting that out there.

It should still be 2011
This year passed way too fast. I wanna go back in time.
And I forgot to post about Christmas. And this is my New Years post.
Happy New Years!
So last night, I went to my friends' house and we ended up going outside and playing hide and seek. It was dark out, therefore making it easier to hide. My brother was found, so me and my friend had to split up. Anne hid behind a tree in her yard while I hid beside a bush. I was wearing a dark green jacket and it was dark outside, but I still expected to be found quickly.
Kat and Faith found Anne first. I was still by the bush. I waited for about a minute while they called out, "Rebekah, where are you?" They started heading inside and then Kat saw me. I laughed.
And then we went inside and played Twister. My knee, ankle and arms hurt. Still.
So, did everyone have a happy Christmas and last day of the year and first day of the year?
Oh, I nearly forgot. I got a new camera and 5 shirts and a British tv show and Inheritance and this speaker-case thingy for an mp3 player or iPod and a panda and red Chuck Taylors and candy. I am happy.
See you (hypothetically, of course).

Only 2 weeks left...
There are 13 days and 1 hour and 20 minutes until January 10th!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I know, I can't wait either!
Wait, what? You don't know what happens on the 10th?
I am disgusted at you, Decepticon.
Obviously, John Green's new book, The Fault in Our Stars, comes out!
And it's coming here!
To my house!
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I AM SO FREAKING EXCITED!!!!!!!!!
Okay, enough with the rant-y-ness.
Or not.
So, recently, I came to the conclusion that Facebook, Tumblr, Twitter, deviantArt, and other social networking sites similar to those are a complete waste of time. Yet we still use them. Why?
Because we like to waste time. Why?
It's fun. Why?
Either people have no lives and therefore have the time to use social networking sites, or they believe they have no lives and therefore use social networking sites.
However, there is a third but slightly less known group of people who actually have the ability to control how much time they can spend on a particular social networking site. They have attained the ability to refrain from checking every notification and reloading the page.
I wish I belonged to the slightly less known group of people.
However, I belong to the second group of people. Sadly.
In fact, I have probably reloaded my Tumblr dashboard at least five times while I was writing this post.
Addicted much?

Twitter
deviantArt
If you don't already know me personally, then you don't get my facebook.
Adios, fellow Nerdfighters and Decepticons! DFTBAaG!

Another Blog Post
In which I talk about novel progress, my day, Christmas (ahem, Winter) break, and what I'm doing today.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh I am the stupidest stupid face in the whole freaking stupid world of stupid people.
I left the notebook that had all of my untyped novel in my locker. At school. Which I cannot go to until January 9th. Of next year.
*headdesk*
But anyways, I got to school early, and I passed out the candy canes and chocolate I brought. In class, everybody got a Hershey bar and a few papers with questions concerning the chocolate bar. After about 20 minutes of working on that, my teacher, Mrs. Bettis, asked me and Aimee if we would mind setting up a few tables to hold the muffins, Yoo Hoos, and other assorted chocolatey things. Being the idiots we are, we said yes and she continued to tell us what to do. We were to take the tablecloths, muffins, chocolate milk, and paper goods down to the cafeteria and make the teachers' lunchroom look pretty. We stayed at the talent show to watch Cat and Amyan sing, then we left. Once we got down there and the tablecloths were on, we both realized how inept we were at making things look good. I proceeded to put napkins on the table in a totally groovy design that Aimee laughed at, despite the fact that I am the one with more experience. Then we put muffins, cupcakes, and plates on the tables. After that, we went to the theater to watch more of the talent show. With our luck, we got there at the last act. Prizes were awarded, then everybody left the theatre. We went to the cafeteria (whoa. mind blankage, forgot what it was called)and got in line. Three people ate the muffins I made, which means more for me. I ate and drank and ran upstairs to get my backpack and ran back downstairs after dismissal to get my muffins. Then I got on the bus and went home. And that was my day, compressed into one paragraph.
I am finally on Winter break. People are right to call it Winter break, because there are a lot of people in this world that don't celebrate Christmas. I do, so don't get all offended because you're a super touchy person that always has to speak their mind. And there are 5 sleeps to Christmas. I haven't even gone shopping.
Which brings us to the next topic: what I will be doing today. Most likely, Christmas shopping, more computer usage, and probably some tv watchage.
I love making up new words; it's so much fun.
I think that's all for today, kids! See you next time on The Adventures of Decepticon and Nerdfighter: Untied!
*United, sorry.
